ROCK Committee
ROCK stands for Reaching Out to the Community with Kindness. This committee was created in January, 2001 with two goals in mind:
- to help members of the Department of Public Health Sciences get to know one another in a "non-work" situation; and

Morgan Barnes Golf Benefit
Morgan is the daughter of Jerry & Allison Barnes and was born July 25, 1999. Jerry is an employee of the Division of Public Health Sciences at WFUHS. On July 31, 2002, the Barnes family learned that Morgan had Stage IV Neuroblastoma, a cancer that strikes young children. After two surgeries, Morgan completed chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, and radiation. Morgan started receiving treatment at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City on April 14, 2003,where she is participating in a Clinical Trial in hopes of ridding her body of this horrible disease forever. Morgan completed her final treatments on April 15, 2005 but the family continues to incur costs associated with the ongoing trips to New York for testing and evaluation.
