Develop skills in Quality of Care and Outcomes Research in Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke
This training program addresses the growing need to provide interdisciplinary and translational research training to physicians and other post-doctoral fellows to ensure that rapid and fundamental advances in the biomedical and behavioral sciences will be used in clinical and population research, and implemented in health care and community settings with a focus on advancing the care and outcomes of patients with or at risk for heart disease and stroke.
Develop research expertise:
Expertise to pursue a successful career in research on the causes, management and outcomes of heart disease and stroke.
Competencies to conduct clinical, translational, and population research, including health services and/or community research, to improve cardiovascular health.
Learn how to translate research into action:
Apply discoveries generated during laboratory research and/or preclinical studies to the development of trials and studies in humans.
Enhance the adoption of best practices in health care settings and the community.
Earn a Masters of Science in Clinical and Population Translational Sciences (CPTS) through Wake Forest University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
This post-doctoral training provides stipends and tuition scholarships to qualified applicants.
