RESEARCH:
David C. Goff, Jr, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Public Health Sciences and Internal Medicine. His research interests include the epidemiology and prevention of heart disease and stroke with a focus on issues related to diabetes and dyslipidemia. He is the Lead Investigator of several NIH- and CDC-funded studies. He is a member of the North Carolina Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Task Force, Past Chair of the Tri-State Stroke Network encompassing Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, and was the Chair of the CDC Working Group for the Public Health Action Plan to Prevent Heart Disease and Stroke. He is active in the American Heart Association. He directs the CDC and AHA sponsored Ten-Day Seminar on the Epidemiology and Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease.
