RESEARCH: |
Dr. Ambrosius joined the Section on Biostatistics at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in August 2001
after having spent six years in the Division of Biostatistics at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Included in his collaborative research at Indiana were studies in hypertension, osteoporosis, and epilepsy. At
Indiana University, he was the PI of the Biostatistics Core of the Center for Enhancing Quality of Life in Chronic
Illness, which was funded by the NINR. He is one of threeGCRC statisticians at Wake Forest and is the current
past-president of the Association of GCRC Statisticians. His current work is
primarily with the ACCORD study where he is PI of the Coordinating Center for the ACCORD-Eye study, with the GCRC,
and in geriatrics. His methodological work includes work in longitudinal data, quality control, and genetic
epidemiology.
